Baking

Since we have moved to the north I have noticed our family does a lot of things different then we did down south. For example:
We start our cars to warm them up not cool them down!
We go for walks and bike rides instead of going swimming!
We trick or treat indoors with lots of clothes on instead of outdoors with little clothes on!
We rake a million leafs in the fall instead of being excited that it only hit a high in the 70's in October!
And another thing that we do a lot more in Grand Forks is baking. (It really makes the kitchen nice and warm when I have that oven going!!haha) Lilah has become my little helper or as she likes to call herself "Little Chef"
Recently Patty gave my two big bags full of apples and I am amazed at how much you can do. So far we have baked:
2 Apple Pies
Apple Maple Crumble Pie
Applesauce
Apple Crisp
It has been fun! And I have found out that I love the smell of apples cooking and a really warm kitchen!

  4. Terra,
So happy to find your blog! Love the picture of you and Lilah...so cute! Glad to be able to keep up with your family. As you describe life in ND it reminds me so much of our life in NE. :)
