Thanksgiving has come and gone. We had a Thanksgiving this year full of blessings. Bryan made a yummy ham and we went over to the Pells house. It is nice to have friends that are family to spend the holidays with :) I could name a million things I am thankful for this year but I wanted to share what Lilah wrote at school for me.
I am thankful for.....
My mom because she is always there for me. She makes me laugh all the time. I love how she never breaks a promise. And when I have something to say she listens. We have so much fun together. I love my mom so much. When she goes away I get so upset. I would never change my mom.
Lilah Phelps
With this comes a little story I have to share. Growing up my mom use to make promises and with where she was in her life she never came through on her promises. It was something that broke my heart all the time. It is one thing I never wanted my kids to experience from me. I struggle with it all the time. I ask the question, "am I doing all I can to follow through on what I promised them." This thankful letter had me bawling from that one line. It was nice to get confirmed from Lilah that I do follow through on my promises. I am thankful for my children and the God who gave them to me.
I am thankful for your friendship and for you.
