Snow Babies

You probably already know this but I did not want to do Christmas this year. I know being busy is not an excuse but I am using it. I have lots to do with little time to do it these days. So I wanted to skip doing a tree this year. Of course I got out voted quickly on that but it was worth a try. We drove down and spent an arm and leg on a tree (not joking), Bryan pulled out all the decorations, we made hot chocolate, started the music, and I tried to enjoy it for the kids. Then Bryan carried in a box I had completely forgotten about. My snow babies!!!! The Christmas spirit fell full force into me. I was so excited!!! Jumping all around. Bryan's Oma (and I believe greatly also my Oma) passed away a few years ago. Last year when we went home for Christmas we stayed out at her house. Bryan's mom (and I believe greatly also my mom) took me downstairs to go through some of Oma's stuff. I was so grateful and humbled to get these snow babies. I proudly put each one up this year in my house. And I have to admit Im crying right now on how happy and blessed I feel to have these snow babies up at my house. I will cherish them for many years to come and hopefully pass them along to Lilah. I look at them and remember how much I loved Oma and what a wonderful grandmother she was. I thank God and Oma for giving me my holiday cheer this year through these snow babies :)
