Counselor

I like to listen to people talk. I like to talk. So in college I was going to school to be a counselor. I thought it was my calling to be one. However life had a way of changing and bringing things I never imagined. My life is pretty darn good. Im content and happy. But I find myself still wondering how it would have been to finish school and counsel people. Here is the funny thing Im coming to realize though....God has made me a counselor without a degree. He has used me in lots of people's lives. I get to use my spiritual gifts to guide people to the ultimate counselor. He speaks through me to say just what the other person needs to hear. He opens my heart to cry or laugh with someone, to pray for them, to give them advice or a book, just to accept them and be there for them. I am very humbled and grateful to Him for this. I am amazed by what He has done by using me.
