Patience
Instead of making New Year resolutions I have seen a lot of people do a word for the year. They pray for God to show them a word to have for the year. I have always loved the idea but have never done it. Well God decided I should do it this year. Laying in bed this morning spending time with God I just kept hearing the word patience. It took me a while but I realized God was telling me He wanted to give me a word for this 2013 year. I can only imagine what this year will bring with this word. Already He has exposed a lot of things to me and it was just one morning! Im excited but also a part of me is not looking forward to it if Im honest. I know in my heart this will be a hard year for me with this word. I have a feeling God will really be molding me. I will surrender though and that is all the step I need right now.
Psalm 37:7-9
New Living Translation (NLT)
7 Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.
8 Stop being angry!
Turn from your rage!
Do not lose your temper—
it only leads to harm.
9 For the wicked will be destroyed,
but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land.
Ecclesiastes 7:8
New Living Translation (NLT)
8 Finishing is better than starting.
Patience is better than pride.

I am praying for you. I feel like my word "simplicity" kind of goes hand it hand with patience. Still trying to figure that out.
